NewJeans Are Named One Of TIME’s “Next Generation Leaders” And Spill On Their Hope For The Future
NewJeans continue astounding netizens with all the records they set as their catchy songs are loved on a global scale.
And with the group reported to drop a pre-release track on July 7, fans are only more excited to see what the group will try next.

In acknowledgment of NewJeans’ astounding success, TIME identified NewJeans as one of their “Next Generation Leaders.”
Two of NewJeans’ singles stayed on the Billboard 100 for five weeks this year, and in March the band became the fastest Korean act ever to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify in just 219 days, despite having released only a handful of songs.

The other “Next Generation Leaders” included in the list are actress Florence Pugh, journalist Rene Silva, climate activist Sage Lenier, chef and model Rōze Traore, producer and DJ Bizarrap, TikToker Drew Afualo, transgender activist Henry Tse, tech CEO Melanie Perkins, and golf star Matt Fitzpatrick. The impressive list certifies NewJeans’ global impact.
But despite all that NewJeans have accomplished, the members remain focused on their passion for music and their friendship.
In an interview with TIME, Hanni mentioned that NewJeans debuted at a fortunate time, since K-Pop has been growing quickly on a global scale.
And she admitted that while the future of K-Pop is unpredictable, NewJeans will “[look] forward to all of it” as long as they’re enjoying performing together.
Danielle even shared that she “can’t imagine a different life” since she not only gets to pursue her dreams, but she gets to do so with her members.
And, of course, fans couldn’t be more proud of the hard-working and passionate group.
