Spire Entertainment Plans To Debut New Group As CEO Kang Manages Trainees Despite OMEGA X Abuse Scandal

As suspected, Spire Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee is still working at the company despite claiming to have resigned.
Previously, OMEGA X’s company Spire Entertainment‘s CEO, Kang Seong Hee was caught verbally, mentally, physically abusing and sexually harassing the members following the conclusion of their 2022 OMEGA X WORLD TOUR [CONNECT: Don’t give up] with the final concert in L.A., which was also fraught with issues.

After being caught, Kang issued an apology and allegedly resigned from her position as CEO of Spire Entertainment. The company released the below statement.
Hello. This is Spire Entertainment. More than anything, we bow our heads in apology to the fans who have treasured the OMEGA X members, as well as the members themselves and their parents, who were hurt by this matter.
We also sincerely apologize for disappointing everyone by letting the unfortunate matter happen, as well as for the inadequate way that the company has been dealing with it up to now.
Spire Entertainment will bear the responsibility for everything regarding this matter. In addition, the CEO that caused the unfortunate incidents on tour has resigned from the company voluntarily.
In the future, the company will not shy away from but take into account all the criticism and advice we have received during this time and do our best to solve matters, making sure such things do not happen again.
In addition, we will do all that is in our power to prevent the members of OMEGA X from experiencing such unfortunate matters again and to create a better environment for them to focus on their activities as an artist as we continue to converse with the members.

Although Kang announced her resignation from Spire Entertainment, OMEGA X have been skeptical. An entertainment official noted, “Since the agency is a family company run jointly by Kang and her partner, there is no choice but to doubt the sincerity of Kang’s voluntary resignation. Also, I know that the members have complained to the agency several times about Kang’s actions before, but they were never fixed.” Previously, netizens discovered that Spire Entertainment’s chairman was Kang’s husband.
So, FOR X (OMEGA X fans) have been demanding his resignation as well. But unfortunately, as OMEGA X feared, Kang herself is also still in a position of power at Spire Entertainment.

JTBC revealed that Kang has essentially just been assigned a new position. She is in charge of trainee development/management. Spire Entertainment is actually preparing to launch yet another boy group and recently signed trainees.
So, while Kang claimed to have resigned from her position as CEO, she continued to work at Spire Entertainment. Additionally, a reservation was made at a meat restaurant near the company building to secretly host a meeting with trainees.
Clearly, Kang’s “voluntary resignation” was just an action for show to calm the negative publicity.
