It seems like the song will show off BLACKPINK’s power.

BLACKPINK‘s long-awaited album, BORN PINK, will be released on September 1, featuring the title track “Shut Down.”

Because fans have been waiting a long time for BLACKPINK’s comeback, they have expressed frustration at the tracklist, which only includes eight songs, two of which have already been released.

Similarly, the tracklist doesn’t include any credits for Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic‘s lead singer and world-renowned producer, who had excitedly mentioned working with BLACKPINK several times.

Still, despite fans’ concerns about BLACKPINK’s treatment, there’s no denying the excitement around the album’s release.

Fans were amused to notice that Jennie and Rosé had given fans spoilers earlier in the year, which led to Jisoo exposing them as the members who spoiled the most about their pre-release single, “Pink Venom.”

Now it seems like it’s Jisoo’s turn to share a spoiler of “Shut Down” with fans. Fans already knew that “Shut Down” was sampled from Niccoló Paganini‘s famous piece “La Campanella.”

Hoping for more spoilers about the upcoming track, one fan asked Jisoo on Weverse if the idol could share a little spoiler. And Jisoo replied, seeming to tease a sound effect in the song.

Jisoo: Shut downnnnn~~~~~ Boom!!

Since perhaps the “Boom” might refer to a beat drop, the start of a dance break, or simply just a cool sound in the song, it seems like “Shut Down” will be a powerful song that fans can look forward to.
