BTS’s J-Hope Opens Up About What He Truly Thought Of His Lollapalooza Performance
BTS‘s J-Hope recently headlined Lollapalooza, showing off his incredible diversity as an artist and capturing not only the hearts of his fans, but even stunning locals with his performances.
As the first Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza, J-Hope admitted that he was incredibly nervous and worked diligently to prepare his showstopping set. But in an earlier interview with IU, J-Hope admitted that he was excited about the opportunity, looking forward to trying to get everyone’s reaction to his music.
I wanted to introduce my music to the crowd who were not interested in me, and receive feedback.
Now that his successful performance is over, J-Hope shared his thoughts on Instagram, explaining that his performance will be an “unforgettable [moment].”
July 31, 2022 is going to be one of my greatest and unforgettable moments.
The idol explained that although his solo debut album, Jack In The Box, required a lot of hard work, Lollapalooza was “the most important [challenge].”
Lollapalooza was one of the most important challenges of Jack in the Box.
Although J-Hope once again admitted that he was terrified of the upcoming performance, he gave his absolute all to preparing the stage.
Preparing an hour-long show with me front and center was just one dread-filled moment after another,
and I whipped myself forward as hard as I could, again and again, to practice for the show.
But in that challenging process, J-Hope learned a lot about who he is as an artist.
Most of all, preparing every detail with so much attention and care made me learn along the way about who I really am.
Especially because of how arduous of a journey Lollapalooza was, J-Hope plans on treasuring the moment, realizing his talent and success.
Yesterday was the culmination of this whole process,
and that’s why it’ll be that much more of a treasured memory in my life’s history,
and have that much more meaning!!!
J-Hope thanked the staff, who were integral in helping him prepare for his performance.
I want to thank all of the staff who worked so hard for Lollapalooza,
all of my buddies in the band and the dance crew…
As well as Becky G who joined him on stage…
Becky G for her special presence…
Jimin, who surprised J-Hope by flying to Chicago to enthusiastically cheer his friend on…
Jimin who came so far to cheer me on…
And ARMY, who gave him the courage to go on stage.
… and above all I want to thank our ARMY who made yesterday’s stage shine even more brightly
J-Hope ultimately shared that he was incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
and I would like to thank once again all the organizers of Lollapalooza who gave me this amazing opportunity !!!
Hopefully, fans will see J-Hope continue to receive more incredible opportunities in the future.
