In light of former AOA Mina’s exposure of Jimin’s continuous bullying, a past interview of Jimin resurfaced online of wanting to keep AOA together no matter what. In November 2019, Jimin shot a pictorial with Allure magazine and sat down and shared her thoughts about participating in Mnet’s Queendom as well as her thoughts about the group.

Let’s take a look at some of the interview questions and answers.

Q: What has changed the most about Jimin as a person since being active in the industry?

A: My personality changed the most. I’ve lived away from my parents for a long time and when my family went on a trip together one time they were shocked. They didn’t remember raising a child having such respect for others and being so nice. I went from being a greedy person to someone who knew how to live right. It’s all thanks to the members.

Q: What were your thoughts whenever there was a member change? Did you feel a heavy sense of responsibility?

A: I thought the most about what would happen to us. I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to maintain our team..but the remaining members all had the same mindset and decided to work hard once more. I think that’s why we were able to make it this far. I just wanted to do well. I felt like it would be such a waste not to. So I really wanted us to do well. We all know each other so well and we’ve been together for so long we know each other’s tendencies. We even knew each others personal fashion style so we decided to trust each other and work hard again. I do feel the pressure but I have to pull through somehow. But because the members believed in me and followed along well that the weight didn’t feel to heavy but rather fun.

Q: Do you have any thoughts to stabilize your assets?

A: Truthfully, I don’t have a big dream. I’m fine with living rent. I don’t wish to make a lot of money, I just need enough to make it through each day. I think that this is what you call wealthy. My dream was to have my own farm and eat plants and live with just what I have and cut my own hair. My plan is to make a comeback with the TV program I am a Natural Person.

Q: What is the most precious thing you have gained since debut?

A: Our members.

Online users were surprised at Jimin’s answers as it seemed to be so different from what Mina’s messages revealed as well as other accounts of Jimin’s alleged bullying.

After reading the interview, netizens had only one thing to say, “Fiction.”

These answers from netizens come from Jimin’s first response to Mina’s series of exposure through Instagram. Although Mina wrote several long messages of her mental health and struggle because of Jimin, Jimin only had one thing to say back, “Fiction.”

On July 3, Mina first uploaded a series of posts, revealing an AOA member bullied her to the point of extreme thoughts. Jimin responded to such allegations, but then Mina continued to share posts detailing what happened to her. She even revealed how her agency at the time, FNC Entertainment, did not take any corrective action. Early on the morning of July 4, she posted her final update on the situation, revealing Jimin apologized to her.
